OnPay provides W-2 and 1099 forms using one of the three options listed below. The default option is the option that was selected for 2016. If your company started with OnPay in 2017, the default option is "Bulk to Employer with Signature Required." You can make or change your choice any time until January 4th at 5:00 PM ET. When you log into OnPay, you can scroll down on the dashboard (the homepage) to view your W-2 and 1099 delivery options.
Bulk to Employer with Signature Required: W-2 and/or 1099 forms are printed, pressure sealed and sent together in a large envelope via an expedited carrier to your office. New this year, this delivery option will require a signature from someone at your office. This service costs $15.00 per company plus $5.00 per person. For example, a five-person company would cost $40.00.
Direct to Employee/Contractor: W-2 and/or 1099 forms are printed, pressure sealed and mailed as a single document directly to your employee or contractor at the address they have listed in OnPay. The charge is $6.00 per person. For example, a five-person company would cost $30.00. We highly recommend this option if your company shipping address is a P.O. Box..
Self-Print: Download and print W-2 and/or 1099 forms directly from your printer. Employees and/or contractors can also log in and print these forms from their profile. New this year, forms will be available to print in single-page format, on plain paper. There is no charge for this service.
